Small Town, Big Hearts

There’s something magical about fall in Walnut Ridge: cool breezes, colorful leaves, and the unmistakable excitement of football season. At The Green House® Cottages of Walnut Ridge Rehabilitation and Eldercare, we embrace every opportunity to celebrate the season with our residents, and this year has been no exception.

One of our favorite fall traditions is cheering on local football teams, and recently, a few of our residents had the joy of attending a Hoxie Mustang peewee football game. Full of team spirit, they joined families and fans in supporting these young athletes. The energy in the field was contagious, and our residents loved every moment, from the opening kickoff to the final whistle.

It’s outings like these that remind us of the importance of community connections. Whether it’s enjoying the crisp fall air, sharing stories from their own football days, or simply watching the joy on the kids’ faces, our residents find so much meaning in these experiences.

We’re grateful to the Hoxie Mustangs for welcoming us and to our staff for making these special moments possible. Fall is a season of gratitude, and we’re thankful for the laughter, memories, and friendships that continue to grow here at The Green House® Cottages of Walnut Ridge.
